Archive: Reading János Térey
János Térey was born in Debrecen, studied Hungarian Literature and history and now lives as a lyricist, dramatist and translator in Budapest. The author published a wide range of books of poetry and the postmodern epic Paulus (in 2001). His first plays, the tetralogy A Nibelunglakópark (The Nibelungs housing estate, 2004) was, for instance, shown at the theatre Krétakör.
One of his most recent works has been translated into German by Wilhelm Droste and will be published as Budapester Überschreitungen in spring 2019 at the Arco Verlag.
