André Vladimir Heiz is regarded as an ingenious composer of signs in words and pictures, in German and French. He is author, lecturer and artist who, in addition to important scientific publications, also publishes literature. Heiz received his doctorate from the University of Zurich and studied semiotics at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Heiz further develops the foundations of design in innovative projects; four of his most recent books have been described described as "groundbreaking" by the Swiss Graphic Design Association. During his stay in Krems, Heiz has acted as a coach for the Schulhausroman, which will be presented in March during the KiJuBu Kinder- und Jugendbuchfestival.
