Manuel Pessoa de Lima

Manuel Pessoa de Lima is a performer, piano player and composer. He develops solo performances with speech, sound, video and red light. Themes in his work often include creating irony around the notion of high culture, destabilizing the traditional concert setting. In Krems he would like to develop a new composition based on an instrumental psycho-geography process, in the form of a sound-collage, encompassing 4 elements: organs, pianos, the Buchla synthesizer and field recordings. The result of this project is planned to appear on his latest Album, “Realejo”.
