Julia holds a PhD in film theory. Her first novel Die Hochhausspringerin (“The High-Rise Diver”, Hanser Berlin 2018) has been translated into English, Italian, and French, was shortlisted for the Swiss Book Prize and received the Swiss Literature Prize. This radicalism of the narrative is continued in her new upcoming novel Tick Tack Hanser Berlin 2022) – a disturbing story about the planned suicide of a young person who has been drilled to reach perfection.
