Kyle Gann

The American composer, music professor and critic Kyle Eugene Gann (born November 21, 1955 in Dallas, Texas) was and is active mainly in New York. His publications and compositions support progressive music such as postminimalism and totalism. He is planning several compositions for his stay in Krems: a second piano concerto commissioned by the Italian pianist Emanuele Arciuli, a trio for cello, piano and percussion, also commissioned by a trio in Los Angeles conducted by Adam Zuckerman. He can be seen and heard live at the Ursula Chapel on October 1 at 6 p.m. as part of Am Sound (curated by Martin Gut):
