Ryo Abe
Ryo Abe specializes in architecture that integrates with local culture, nature and landscape. He understands each building as a part of the environment and refers to the Japanese Shinto philosophy in which each object, space and phenomenon has its own soul and everything is interconnected.
Together with his partner Tomo, Ryo Abe will spend September and October in Krems. During this time, the Architects in Residence will explore the green and open spaces in the Krems-Lerchenfeld district. They are particularly interested in everyday life, regional spatial characteristics and existing structures.
With a lecture on his work, Ryo Abe will introduce the international work of his studio and present proposals for making the open spaces in Krems-Lerchenfeld more attractive.
