George Rahi
George Rahi is an interdisciplinary artist living in Vancouver. He uses self-created and modified instruments as a method to explore the intersections between acoustic and digital technologies, modes of listening, and spatial and architectural thinking. His work includes installations, instrument making, composition, solo and ensemble performance, and works for radio, theater, and public spaces. His main focus is on pipe organs and he will pay special attention to the organs located in Krems during his residency. He aims to compose new works that develop in relation to Krems and the instrumental traditions of the region.
